Program Planning and Grant Proposals

The relationship between program planning and grant proposals is they go hand in hand meaning that the grant proposal is part of the planning process. They both are needed in making a successful program that has researched a problem within a community and has researched the relevant data to present a grant proposal for their program. The proposal is based on the planning strategy and attacking the problem to help those affected with a solution to there problem. This is the “how” were going to help the target population.

Program planning means that you have spoken with people that represent the target population who have had personal experience that have caused problem in their life either financially, emotionally, mentally all of which are people that may have lost their home to a fire to those who have lost a love one. A program is there to provide a service therefore it needs inputs and outputs. In order to have outcomes you have to present a proposal to those people who are willing to fund your program. A proposal is not a contract but is a way of input into your program which should have been researched and it should have been tried for at least three people at the same time during the planning process. When you present a proposal for your program you should be at the end of planning and at the beginning of implementing the plan. In other words you can now multiply three by the amount of people needing your service and you will have results to show to those willing to support your program to give their money because they believe your program will have a positive effect on the problem. This is important to the person responsible for presenting your proposal it is important because you want enough money to help the people needing your service.
