Owners Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada opened Club IT, a new and trendy dance club downtown. Even though they have invested in renovating the locale they realize that they desperately need new and innovative Information technology systems. This document highlights the ideas and solution proposed by their new intern.

Club IT is the brainchild of Rube and Lisa two friend who recently graduated with Business Administration degrees from business school. They have a passion for music and dancing and this business represent the realization of their dreams. They both have musical backgrounds that are conducive this field having played as professional musicians during their college years.

Club IT wants to attract young professionals who are sophisticated and fashionable and who have the purchasing power to make their business a success. This type of clientele is very technically savvy and is constantly “connected” to the internet using smart phones and tablets. They are also heavy users of social media networks and the best way to reach them is electronically. The primary mission for Club IT is to “offer you live music, DJ’s, dance space and refreshments that suit your lifestyle,” (Wiley, 2005)

Given their targeted customer, the club needs the necessary Information Technology resources to be published periodically to the most popular Social Media sites. Constant updates with club information are a must. They need the necessary infrastructure to be able to stream live videos and music from their club. Updates on Facebook and twitter when the club is the busiest full of lively people dancing and having a good time will be a good promotional tool to incentivize new customer to visit the establishment.
