To Drill or Not to Drill?

President Obama is pushing to use cleaner technologies such as solar power and clean coal. He predicted a growth in greener jobs in the coming years. With his agenda set to solve global warming and free American from foreign oil, people are opposing his idea. Others suggested continuing drilling in the Gulf, Alaska and other remaining area. With this matter being stated I will decide what side I agree with the most, explain the opposing ideas, and strategies to overcome the hinder of thinking.

After critically and creative thinking I had agreed with President Obama agenda to free America from foreign oil and cleaner technologies. One factor influenced my decision is global warming; in fact U.S. is the single largest source of coal-firing plants. It is the biggest problem America undertakes for many years now. Coal-burning causing climate change and are killing tens of thousands of people. It also pollutes our air and water, and making people sick. With cleaner technologies eliminate oil and coal plants. Another factor in my decision making is greener jobs; I believe greener jobs means more moral workers. People will not have to live with guilt in contrast to coal plant workers who produces toxic waste and contributing to the unwanted unhealthy lifestyle. The final factor is that President Obama will create more jobs. I am pro for creating jobs in United States because many people have struggled to find one. I think it is morally wrong to continue global warming. People who are opposing his agenda should critically think about consequences if they keep drilling. This why I believe President Obama agenda is morally correct.
