Pre-operative Diagnosis: Status post previous liposuction with residual lipodystrophy of the abdomen, epigastrium and flanks.

Post-operative Diagnosis: Status post previous liposuction with residual lipodystrophy of the abdomen, epigastrium and flanks.

Operation Performed: Revision liposuction of abdomen, epigastrium and flanks using Vaser and lipodisruption techniques.

Surgeon: Dr. Maurice Sherman

Anesthesia: Local infiltration tumescent fluid total in 2000 cc used with supplemental oral sedation.

Estimated Blood Loss: Less than 20 cc.

Complications: None.

Specimen: None.

Total fat 500 cc and total lidocaine used was 2000 mg.

Description: The patient was marked and then prepped and draped in sterile fashion. The areas marked were infiltrated with tumescent solution. This was followed by use of the Vaser 3.7 er prepping and being placed in a supine position, the areas marked were infiltrated with tumescent solution using the water-assisted liposuction equipment. This was followed by insertion of a cannula where liposuction was performed _____(3:12) loose up and down direction. The fatty tissue overlying the lower abdomen, flanks and outer thighs were infiltrated with water jet and a total of 1600 mg of lidocaine was utilized. Each area was then liposuctioned through small incision sites with crisscrossing taking place. After the patient was completed and assisted being re-dressed to the brassiere compression garment, _____ and demonstrated the effect of the procedure. A total of 1200 cc of fat was removed and some of the fat was collected, decanted and saved for the face. After the compression garment was placed, the face was prepped and draped in sterile fashion and infiltrated with local anesthetic.
