Abstract

This paper will discuss the marketing environment of visual communication and the services are graphic designing services. With these services marketing is a valuable part of this kind of industry due to its marketing forces.

Graphic Designs Services

The graphic design services industry includes about 16,000 establishments including single location companies or units of multi location companies, with the combined annual revenue of about $7 billon. There are no major companies that dominate the industry. There are three market forces that this industry uses in marketing which are the competitive forces, technological force, and the socio-cultural force. The graphic designing services also have to come over threats in the marketing environment in this industry and they also capitalize on some of the opportunities in the industry too. While I’m analyzing this forces in this industry I will use one company in this industry has an example.

Market Force 1: Competitive forces

Many companies in the graphic designing industry face measurable competitions form many other media productions and other internet distribution companies. Most of the local industry are made up of few large well know companies; and a number of small companies, with several of new companies. Competitions may come from the uses of existing technology and the development of new services (Hissom, 2010). For example amyhissom.com may not sale or offer services that other companies may not have offered. Amyhissom.com also offers a low price then their competitors may offer along with the World Wide Web, amyhissom.com offers more than just graphic design.
