My code of ethics would be:

First: Character, which means accountability, and integrity. It’s my responsibility to hold myself and those that work for the company to provide the best service for my customers, and dealings with my suppliers. If I don’t I end up losing my integrity with both. Simply put who I am and what I stand for as a business owner.

Second is: Attitude, if I have an unwillingness to solve a problem with either a supplier or a customer than I run the risk of losing them, and more importantly, because people talk: vendors talking to other vendors and customers talking to other people. The biggest thing that can make or break a new company is bad public relations. With a bad attitude I won’t be in business very long.

Third: Is excellence, having the commitment for quality of my product. I have to do it better than my competitors, in order to continue having repeat customers.

Fourth: Competency, producing the product on time or having on hand what the customer needs for their job, getting it to the customer in a timely fashion.

Fifth: Is conduct, which ties into all of my code of ethics to ensure that neither I nor my employees step over that fine line with others.

All the rules of my code of ethics revolve around one basic theme and that is the customer, vendors, and employees come first. It is my obligation to see that my employees have a safe working environment and that the vendors and customers are treated with the upmost respect. In abiding by these simple steps will ensure that my business will be respected in the community which in turn by doing this will provide growth of the company.
