The problem with sitting in a class for one and a half hours is that , invariably, you will listen to one line or a word which jolts you awake from your sleep or a dream. I am no different. In an economics class, I don’t know how or when or even why, I heard Public Transport. That was my Eureka Moment. Angry as I was as I couldn’t sleep any further , I started to think. Why at all we need public transport, and if we do need it, why do people do not use it as much the government wants?

If for a moment you stop wondering where should I spend my millions (Oh yes, let’s buy a car), public transport is actually is path breaking, mind boggling and the next “God particle” type idea.

My simple advice is to use public transport. There are a number of perceived advantages.

1. Interaction and networking with fellow passengers. All managers are taught to do this the very first day they enter their organizations. Then why not in public buses? Imagine yourself talking to the CEO of your new company and offering to buy his ticket.

2. Problem of inequality resolved. There would be no one with big or small cars. Just with big busses, which everyone can boast of.

3. You will always have a reason for being late. “Sir, my route bus was not on time” or “Sir, My route bus was unexpectedly full today”. In fact, your boss would have to take an earlier bus to reach before you do. Revenge time!!!

4. You can drink and travel, talk on phone and travel and avoid the nuisance called using seatbelts.

Practice and preach. Spread the word. The next big thing has arrived.!!
