Because Gene One has the onboard talent and resources to become the leading company in communications, necessity states to begin this fiscal year with a new strategy to manage all components that will bring Gene One to the forefront. Relations in management at Gene One have become unnecessarily strained and the need for a drastic change in leadership strategy has arisen.

A new approach to Gene One leadership will be a global initiative. Most companies in the communications sector are moving toward a global mission, as the need to expand internationally has exceeded the market tenfold (Yuki, 2010). Global leadership is a new, innovative approach to leadership structure. Global leadership bases its needs and satisfactions on implications that prove to be more culturally satisfying. Components of global leadership include facets such as stringent requirements for leaders to understand cultural aspects of management positions; higher levels of representation of different geographies and top levels; enhanced language skills and training to be sure language enhancement occurs; proper and best performing cultural leaders as well as understanding of laws governing business internationally (CCL, 2009).

When considering this type of leadership change and influencing a structure that thinks globally, executives of any company must grasp the changes in structure necessary to complete such changes, as well as the missions and plans that will be set forward. In such a large change, Gene One must be prepared to settle for nothing less than the highest competencies when recruiting new employees and, the highest levels of competencies from its current employees. All employees moving forward with Gene One that will survive this change are employees whom the change may or may not typically affect anyway. The employees who will manage this change appropriately are employees that are currently culturally unbiased and are regularly taking training sessions as advised.
