Final Exam ENG323

Movie: “Groundhog Day”

Character: Phil Connors

Episode: The part of the movie where Phil starts to feel utterly helpless, then anger at his situation, and starts killing himself in any way he can think of.

Class Comments: I would have fallen asleep if I attended class for the viewing, not out of boredom, but because I’m always tired . Ultimately, I viewed the film at home with my family. There was a handout that accompanied the syllabus that goes over the parts of the film quite well. I particularly like “i. Instead, by the end of my journey across campus, I’m usually calmed down enough to trudge on.

Topic: #9 The nature of knowledge and its effect on those who possess it.

Class Comments: “o. Repetition is the foundation for Groundhog…” (Groundhog handout)
