Examine the Positive and Negative reactions to the use of these Controls

The Toyota Motor Corporation is synonymous with reliability and dependability and is one the leading car manufacturers in the world. For generations families have the trusted the brand and has always looked at buying a Toyota was a sound investment. The company was founded in 1926 and was first known as “Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, LTD” by Sikichi Toyoda, the inventor of a series of manual and machine-powered looms. In the year 1933 the company formed the automobile division. Not long after in the year 1935 the first model of both car (A1) and truck (G1) were built. Both these vehicles began production at “Hinode Motors”. In 1937 with the successes of the two vehicles, the “Toyota Motor Company, LTD. was created (Toyota Motors 2011).

Management

Of course with Toyota being a foreign entity, the management style of senior management and the overall company beliefs are similar to western cultures in some ways however there are some significant differences as well that should be pointed out. What is the same is having the skills necessary to manage effectively. As with any successful manager, they must be able to think proactively and quickly acclimatize to situations that may arise whether internally or externally. It really doesn’t matter the location whether a Western or Eastern born company, the four functions of management that are leading, planning, organizing and controlling are all the same. “Meikiki” which means foresight and discernment formulates the Toyota Corporation’s model.
