Acceptance Speech

First I’d like to thank God for giving me the Qualities to win “The Single Father of the year award”.

To the Blount County Boys & Girls Club, Mr. Chris Brewer, and the Support Staff at the club Thank you for presenting me with this award, I did not do this Alone; I had you Guys supporting me down this road.

Wow! Being a single father at a young age is a Job that comes with tremendous responsibilities, no instruction manual, and No Pay, but you do get 24hours 365days of On the Job training for the rest of your life.

Receiving this award is a true honor. Not only am I accepting this award for myself, but on behalf of all unrecognized Single fathers working hard to keep their Families together.

I also want to thank my Mom for instilling in me at an early age the value of Family so when I approached the cross road of accepting Single Fatherhood, it was no question of what I should do.

I thank my sons, Charles & Clifford 2 of the best sons a father could ask for. You truly make me proud.

To my fiancé; thank you for loving me; it’s your Love that encourages me to hold on.

Each person mentioned this evening, kept me going, encouraged me when I was weak; and to each of you I give my most sincere thanks for supporting and encouraging me.
