Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) are very beneficial to a healthcare organization to improve health communication and promote quality assurance. An EMR is a computerized record that allows instantaneous examination of a patient’s previous care and medical health information anywhere a patient goes. The outcome of a patient’s condition/diagnosis is truly affected by the modalities of communication techniques established by healthcare providers. Any means of communication by healthcare providers can create positive and negative outcomes. This paper will address how an EMR can be utilized as a communication modality for marketing in health care.
