SANTIAGO, MARVIN M. –MM09203 2nd year

One of the happiest moments during our National Service Training Program was when we held at white cross san juan last time. The purpose of this event is to help the indigent children of the said place to give little act of happiness and kindness by means of games, giving foods, and cleaning. We also gave some information about the society. The event was a success. It was hard to work and interact with these kinds of people, but we consider it as one of the most exciting moment of our lives. In addition, the memories and values that we shared with this children will never be forgotten. Thus, We were happy to leave the place with children`s big smiles in their faces. At first I don’t like NSTP. Why? Because I thought its boring, that we will just clean the community under the heat of the sun and we’ll get tired. But, whenever I pass through their road and bridge, I knew that they need our help to beautify and to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. That’s why I realized that those help that we could give to them were just simple and we will not get bored or tired, because we will do those things with all our hearts. I felt happiness whenever I see them smile because we give them our helping hands. I also learned something new, that NSTP is not only about cleaning the community and beautifying. It’s also about sharing and loving. Especially the kids. We share them not only material things, but also laughters, love and we let them feel that we are one family, that we are here for them, to guide them, and to take care of them like our siblings. I feel very happy beacause this subject taught me something that no one could take away from me. It’s loving, helping and sharing not only to your family but also to those people who need you. We should not ignore them, we should love them, for we are all a children of God. I enjoyed this subject even though it’s tiring to travel from school to WHITE CROSS.
