Drinking and Driving is the number one killer of the majority of teens and also few adults. According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration 33,808 people died in traffic accidents in 2009. There is also estimated that 10,839 people were killed in drunk driving crashes involving a driver with a illegal BAC (.08 or greater).Even so while driving drunk, the speed of your car can also take part the fatalities of drunk driving. I take a stand that drunk driver is dangerous and that you can put innocent lives in danger as well as yourself. On the other hand, other people propose that drunk driving can be fun but don't realize what drunk driving can cause. I propose that the traffic laws as well as the liquor laws should be enforced and stricken to protect the lives of the people.

To begin with, drunk driving can be prevented in a way that when you make plans to get together with your friends and have a few drinks, If you are highly intoxicated, you should be able to sleep over at a friends house and to not leave until the next day or have the opinion of someone picking you up that has not been intoxicated and taking you home. In this instance, you will not be able to put yourself in harms way. However, If your friends see you becoming intoxicated entirely to much, they should take the initiative to help and make sure that you are going to be safe.

Secondly, all legal parents and guardians should be well aware of what their teens are doing at all times. Parents and legal guardians should make sure that they are aware of all of the activities that their teen may participate in and also the friends that they associate themselves with. Nevertheless, getting to know the parents of your teens friends can also provide a way comfort of protection and security for the teens.
