The quote comes from Michael Jackson’s song which is called “Heal the World.” The lyric says: love is strong; it only cares for joyful giving. If we try we shall see, in this bliss, we cannot feel fear or dread. The song is talking about love, so whenever I feel love, I always think of this song, especially this particular part of lyric. This quote applies to my life in three parts: I feel love in my family, in my friends, and even the love to the people I never know.

Let’s move to the first point. As the quote says, love is strong, is only cares for joyful giving, I think it is the most suitable sentence that describe my parents’ love. When I was in middle and high school, I had to get up at about 6 a.m., because the attendance would be taken at about 6:50. My mom got up even earlier than me, and cook for me, the breakfast is different through the whole week. And my dad drove me to school every day, for almost 6 years. I am very grateful for what they did for me. Furthermore, whenever I feel fear or have a bad time, they always by my side and cheer me up. I remembered when I was preparing for the writing competition in middle school, I felt very anxious about the oncoming competition and the pressure made me want to cry. At that time, my parents told me, no matter what the outcome is, at least you tried your best, and remember, you are my greatest daughter, and we all love you. I feel like I am the happiest person in the world.

Like the quote says, with love, we cannot feel fear or dread. It applies to my life in my friends as well. In the beginning of this semester, I got fever for three days. It was the first time that I was ill in the United States without my parents around me. I was really sad and afraid. Fortunately, my roommate looked after me. She cooked for me, bought pills for me, and reminded me to take pills. With her care and love, I got better and better.
