Final Project Overview

The final project is a PowerPoint® presentation that focuses on the geological features of a region or state of your choosing. The template for the PowerPoint® has been started for you in outline form. You will find this in the Materials section of Week One on your aXcess page.

Final Project Timeline

You should budget your time wisely and work on your project throughout the course. As outlined below, some assignments in the course are designed to assist you in creating your final project. If you complete your course activities and use the feedback provided by the instructor, you will be on the right track to successfully complete your project.

□ Suggested in Week One: Choose a region or state that you plan to research for your final project. Submit your chosen region to your instructor to the Individual forum. Identify a popular geological feature of your region. Add your results to the final project template.

□ Suggested in Week Two: Determine the age of your chosen geological feature. Add your results to the final project template.

□ Suggested in Week Three: Determine how the geological feature of your chosen region was formed. Add your results to the final project template.
