Vashnaivism began around 300 BCE and the people of this system worship Lord Vishnu. The people of Lord Vishnu, or Vashnavas, see him as the “Ultimate Reality” and worship him as such. Their doctrine is very important which is “Whenever unrighteous-ness increases and evil becomes triumphant, I incarnate on earth in age after age for protection of the good, for the destruction of the evil-doers, and for the re-establishment of virtue and righteousness.” As a part of worship, Vashnavas use fresh flowers, fruit and leaves as a part of a ritual, which is said to please Lord Vishnu.
Gãnapathyam is another of the philosophies, and it is represented by elephant-headed figure. The people of this philosophy usually combine this practice in addition with another system they primarily use. The name of the figure is Lord Ganesha, and this gopd is said to remove obstacles and bring success. As a form of worship and offering, Ganapatyas (Followers of Lord Ganesha) use red flowers and durva, which is a special grass.
In Closing, Hinduism has many concepts, aspects, and philosophies to gather in order to fully understand its history and its doctrines. Hinduism still continues to be practiced throughout this world, regardless of what system is followed. There are many ways and things to learn in the Hinduism religion and I am sure that there is something new to be learned throughout Hinduism everyday.
