A wedding event management company has many moving parts to make an event and the company a long term success. Visually it is very rewarding and the clients are normally in bliss or relieved that the event is over. You need a million contacts with solid vendors so that if something falls through the cracks you will have a great back-up vendor and no one will be the wiser. The business plan I chose is fairly simple. The two partners starting up the business are both putting in a very small amount of money for start-up and as the business grows the profits will be just a s simple because all events require deposits and money up front from the wedding party or company putting the event on. Event planning is extremely rewarding and an adrenaline rush when the doors open and your clients eyes open wide with the thrill and excitement of seeing their words and thoughts come to life exactly as they wished.

The strength and weakness of the business will be based on the clientele, building a base and word of mouth. I feel that marketing will have to be almost subliminal as the market for this kind of business is very small and intimate and if a mistake is made or someone is unhappy with their event the word of mouth will crush you. Branding is important and needs to be clean and beautiful like the client is imagining their event will be. A portfolio would be your best marketing tool, make sure you get the best pieces of each event and post on website and then use social marketing and word of mouth to get as many people to the site as possible to see your work. A high end website is what will propel this company to the top.

Making sure that every detail is completed as requested will have a great impact on building your client base. Once you come through on an event in a spectacular way the references will start coming, slowly and for future dates down the road. The problem...
