Riordan Manufacturing is looking for a new way to incorporate all of their related Human Resources data into one system. As of right now, the data that is being collected for the new system is scattered throughout the different departments of the company. The new system that will be in effect will collect all this data and store it in a central workstation. Only a few select employees will have full access to the new system. This will not be a quick process because once all the data is collected and stored, testing needs to be completed by users to ensure proper functioning.

In order to consolidate all this sensitive information and be sure it performs as planned after consolidation is complete; APM (Application Performance Management) software needs to be integrated also. According to "Data Center Consolidation Solutions" (2012), “As organizations continue seeking to do more with less, data center relocation and consolidations are high on the list of IT priorities. Innovative organizations recognize the opportunity to tap into advanced technologies that enable consolidation, higher performance, better scalability and lower power consumption. Those outside of infrastructure and operations typically lack understanding of all that goes into a consolidation project. Before any plans are made, operations must baseline the current performance of applications and their transactions under load. This is best done through a combination of synthetic testing and real-user monitoring. Establishing and documenting what performance levels are necessary for key business processes is critical for ensuring the new infrastructure exceeds expectations.
