Social Disorganization Question-and-Answer

* Social disorganization is said as the failure of community members to attain common values or to resolve jointly experienced problems. Social disorganization theory states that crime occurs when the individual’s surrounding is a failure. The family, community, school, and church environment relationship will encourage the person to be a good individual or bad individual. The kind of person he will be will depend on the social network he is in. If the social surrounding is disorganized, crime will occur. For a community to be peaceful, members should be cooperative and socially organized. When the homeostasis within a social group is disturbed, social disorganization occurs, thus different crime follow. Social disorganized communities are rebellious. They do make assistance to law enforcement unavailable and they ignore to create a set of societal norms that put up with and hold on to moral ethics, state, and federal laws. Unsystematic societies do not have courses that recommend youth, elderly, and residence helpful activities. Those programs would consist of but are not restricted to out of school programs, community assistance centers, and religious-spiritual (Babylon, 2009).

* Organized crime and its evolution advance over time. While social disorganization progress, the more the organized crime evolves. The evolution of organized crime affects the society today by making it hard for law enforcement officials to solve crime because of contemporary and high technology methods of criminals in organizing crime. These contemporary means are due to the evolution of organized crime.
