Subject: Feedback Memo

As directed by your instruction, I am submitting my internal feedback memo evaluating my performance as part of “Team 1’s” presentation. I have reviewed the recording you have made available and will reference the Oral Presentation Sheets (3-27) from our class workbook “Applications in Business Communication”.

Impression of Speaker on You:

Using the Oral Presentation Sheets on page 3-27 in the “Applications in Business Communication” as a reference, the following are subject areas in which I was effective:

* Enthusiasm

* Voice Variation

* Friendly, Conversational Manner

* Speaker’s Interest in Subject

* Knew Subject Well

* Omitted Fillers

* Body Movement

And the areas I believe I need more work or could have been more effective:

* Hand Control

* Gesturing

If my slides were more detailed I could have used them more effectively and been more confident in my presentation. I believe my excessive use of my hands and gestures was a byproduct of some nerves and I need to control them better in future presentations.

Speech Structure:

Introductory remarks, implementation, organization, and conclusion are the areas I will discuss next regarding the structure of my presentation.

* Introductory Remarks: The use of the video clip as an attention getter would have been better if I didn’t have difficulties with the video slide. Overall the video kept my audience interested in the presentation and for this reason it was an excellent tool to gain the audiences’ attention. Pat’s introduction stated the purpose clearly of my portion of the presentation.
