Leading Change

Angela Montoya

University of Phoenix

Introduction

This paper presents an outlook of Good Sport (GS). The outlook will encompass general knowledge of the company, identifies the structure type and culture, identifies power and politics used within the company, and analyzes leadership elements that influence the culture and employees within the company.

The paper follows the steps of the “new recruit” as she ventures her way through the company, eventually becoming the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The first portion of the paper focuses on the culture, structure, power, and politics primarily during Marvin Wallace’s reign as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The culture, structure, power, and politics change very little during the reign of other CEOs. If a major change occurs, it has been noted in this paper.
