SAMPLE EVENT PROPOSAL

Semi-Formal Fundraiser (Barbeque) – Event Proposal

Who: Semi-Formal Committee

What: Fundraiser – Barbeque

• Selling burgers (chicken and beef) and hotdogs (beef)- no pork because many people cannot consume that due to religious restrictions

• Each burger/hotdog will cost two times as much as their cost price

• Buying condiments, burgers, and hotdogs from Costco because they are wholesale allowing us to purchase a maximum amount of food for a minimum cost

• Condiments will include: mustard, ketchup, relish, lettuce and tomatoes

• Burger buns and hot dog buns needed

• Napkins and plates needed as well as a large barbeque grill

Where: Outside the cafeteria doors close to the parking lot

When: All four school pre-registration days

Why: To raise money for the Semi-Formal committee and this will go towards the Semi-Formal events in fall 2007. Money will better the event and make it more enjoyable for the students attending.

How: Semi Formal committee will be having the barbeque on registration days, but semi formal committee members will not sell on the day of their grade registration. For example, members going into Grade 12 will not sell on Grade 12 registration day. All profit will be going towards the Semi-Formal.
