DEFINITION:

Poultry: poltre (Noun: Domestic fowl, such as chickens, Synonyms: fowl)

The English word poultry migrated in the mid-14th century from the Old French pouletrie, meaning "domestic fowl", which itself is derived from (O.Fr, late 13th century) poulet, meaning "young fowl".

Poultry: In animal husbandry, birds raised commercially or domestically for meat, eggs, and feathers. Chickens, ducks, turkeys, and geese are of primary commercial importance, while guinea fowl and squabs are chiefly of local interest

Poultry farming is the raising of domesticated birds such as chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese, for the purpose of farming meat or eggs for food. Poultry are farmed in great numbers with chickens being the most numerous. More than 50 billion chickens are raised annually as a source of food, for both their meat and their eggs. Chickens raised for eggs are usually called laying hens whilst chickens raised for meat are often called broilers.

Eggs: - Of all the foods available to people, the egg most nearly approaches a perfect balance of all the nutrients

Poultry meat for its high content of high quality protein and its low fat content. Turkey and chicken meat is slightly higher in protein and slightly lower in fat

3. Inedible eggs used in the preparation of animal feed and fertilizers.

4.egg whites used in the making of pharmaceuticals paints, varnishes, adhesives, printers ink bookbinding, wine clarification, leather tanning and textile dyeing.
