The article also explains the ongoing attempts of President Obama to come to a compromise with Iran through many communication strategies, as well as the defiance Iran has had towards the entire nuclear issue. The lack willpower of the United States has also caused Iran to not take the sanctions seriously. “While the US and its allies possess military capabilities, they have failed to indicate whether they have the will to confront Iran Seriously for its violation of international law, thus emboldening that nation’s determination to acquire nuclear weapons technology” (Singleton 29). The article also defines how the Iranian government has made themselves look more powerful by continually rejecting the proposals of the United States for a compromise.
