MY ICON OF ALTRUISM

Princess Diana ( Diana Spencer)

Diana, Princess of Wales was the first wife of Charles, Prince of Wales, whom she married on 29 July 1981. Diana was born into an aristocratic English family with royal ancestry, and remained the focus of worldwide media scrutiny during and after her marriage.Princess Diana was the very essence of compassion, of duty, of style, of beauty. All over the world she was a symbol of selfless humanity, a standard bearer for the rights of the truly downtrodden, a very British girl who transcended nationality. Someone with a natural nobility who was classless and who proved in the last year that she needed no royal title to continue to generate her particular brand of magic. She was blessed with intelligence, beauty, poise, and sensitivity. She used her position to bring about change, to provoke awareness, and to extend her tenderness.

Altruistic person does not just help the less fortunate, but also inspire people and these things make me chose Princess Diana. She was a good person and has a big heart for everyone. I was moved to the things she did like shaking hands with an AIDS patient. For me not all people can do that and thinking that she was a princess. She gave herself to other. Honestly I’m a less altruistic person but thinking others especially Princess Diana makes me wish that someday I’ll be like her and make more good deeds in my own simple way.
