The Rise and Fall of the Inca Empire

A young anthropologist by the name of Henry Dobyns traveled to phoenix Arizona, where a friend of his would ask for help for his doctoral thesis. Based on the Pima Indians and their adoption of Spanish culture, Dobyns and his friend traveled to the Mexican town of Altar. Both went through significant amounts of research at the church, finding that there were more burials then baptisms. Dobyns said, “Like a club between the eyes,” learning that the Spaniards arrived in large amounts, and the Indians had passed away in a quick amount of time. Dobyns began to learn how important Peru was, especially regarding the Inka culture. Dobyn began to seek out Peruvian demography, researching morality and natality figures. His findings went well beyond this. He found that all Indian culture eventually surrendered to Europe, but there was more to it then this. Many questions needed answers; this led to different opinions, theories, debates based on how the Inca Empire had fallen after becoming such a dominant force.
