Rendering to the video and the material that I have read about in this unit I see that each theory presents itself different in their own way. Starting with the classical approach the management is the highest chain of command. With that being said, it combines the scientific and the administrative management. The behavioral approach stresses understanding the importance of people’s needs and attitudes within the formal organization. The third approach is the systems approach. This approach uses organizations as sets of interrelated parts to be managed as a whole with the purpose of achieving one main goal. The last and final theory is the contingency approach. This approach emphasizes identifying the key variable in each situation and understanding the relationships among the variables. It also recognizes the causes and effects of managerial decisions. The contingency approach is the result of the systems approach.

Implementing a little of each theory in a successful way could possibly create an even better theory that will obtain the maximum production as well as happy and loyal employees. It is very important to make sure that the employees are happy. If employees are not happy, then it may affect the production of the company. The saying is “one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch.” However, the theory that I would choose is the systems theory. I just recently stop working for a call center company. Within this company there were about thirteen teams that consisted of about twenty agents per team. Each team member had individual goals as well as their own team goals. With each person working together on their individual goal, it reflected greatly on the team and call center goals, even the ones that may not have done so well. We took the time to look out for each other and to make sure that everyone was doing what they were supposed to be doing. I guess you could call us one big happy family.
