A lifetime Friend

What is the first thing we do when we see people? We judge them. I am guilty of this everyday “norm” but I do not regret my short comings because it gave me Kimmie. Kimmie is my best friend. I love her. Kimmie is short, loud, and hot-tempered with a raspy voice like Donald duck. Did I mention she is short? She is beautiful and smart as well as caring, but some of these characteristics are what made me pre-judge and not like kimmie. It all started August 29, 2009.

It was my first day of high school and I was so nervous. I was walking down the hallway to homeroom when I accidentally bumped into this girl. Before I had a chance to say excuse me she started yelling and cursing at me with this funny voice, she was so bewildered. I walked away and tried to let it go, but all I could think of was that she was crazy, loud, and downright ghetto. I assumed she had no home training and could never be friend. Just my luck though, she was in my class. Not only was she in my class, she was my partner for the remainder of the year. I couldn’t stand kimmie at all. To me she was an ugly nasty person with the worse voice I ever heard. But she was my partner; I had to deal with her. I began to talk to kimmie open up to her and vice versa. I learned so much about her that I found out she was sort of like me. We began to click and now we are inseparable. Kimmie was not who I assumed she was. She changed my insight on her as a person and just how a true friend should be. Now I cannot imagine my life without her.
