The Employee’s Miscarriage

1. I believe that he had some blame in the case. I don’t think he should have had Clara out of work or maybe even had her transferred to another department. If he knew she was pregnant he should have taken the right measures to accommodate her.

2. No, I do not believe the company was at fault for hiring Clara to do the job. It says that she was hired when Mr. Carson was hired and has maintained an excellent work record. So, we see that she was very capable of doing the work before and this is why I feel that the company had no fault for the hire. Now, they may be at fault for allowing her to keep working. They knew she was five months pregnant and they should have let her take a leave since she was so far along and would have had to lift objects, which she should not be doing. They could have put restrictions on her, so that she only operated the machines and did not lift.

3. They could have offered her some time off in the case she needs to grieve. She was already give months pregnant and that is pretty far along enough that she may have planned and taken measures to get ready for the baby. They should possibly look into providing her with some type of compensation packet to help her accommodate for the major inconvenience that she had to endure as a result of the miscarriage.
