Mission, Vision and Value are important for a company strategic planning. They are key components of business activities. Firstly, mission statement deals with questions like, “Why are we here?”, “Why do we exist?”, “Why do we get up each day and do what we do?”, “What is it that we get paid for?” “What function does the organization perform? “For whom?” “How?”.This is the reason for existence- what an organization does. Secondly, a vision is a statement of what or how you would like things to be. A picture of the future you’re working to create. In other way, it is a statement of some desired future state. Thirdly, values are increasingly important in strategic planning. They often drive the intent and direction for “organic” planners. This is a statement of key values than an organization is committed to.

In this paper, I am going to take a look at Avon company as an example. This company produces cosmetic- one of the hottest industry recently, for beauty care. Firstly, Avon's mission is focused on six core aspirations the company continually strives to achieve:

* Leader in global beauty: Build a unique portfolio of beauty and related brands, striving to surpass competitors in quality, innovation, and value, and elevating Avon's image to become the world's most trusted beauty company.

* Women's choice for buying: Become the shopping destination for women, providing a personal, high-touch experience that helps create lifelong customer relationships.

* Premier direct-selling company: Expand Avon's presence in direct selling, empowering women to achieve economic independence by offering a superior earnings opportunity as well as recognition, service and support, making it easy and rewarding to be affiliated with Avon.
