Riordan Manufacturing is a global manufacturing company with revenues in excess of $1 billion and a Fortune 1000 enterprise. This enterprise currently has plants in Albany, Georgia, Pontiac, Michigan and Hangzhou China. Each one of these plants has its own Human Resources. Right now Riordan Manufacturing is looking for one software system that is able to consolidate all the data from each plant into one software based system that can create a more streamline approach to Human Resource Management.

Moving all three plants onto an online HRIS system would be a great opportunity for Riordan Manufacturing to accommodate all the data from these three plants into one, online software system. Once all the current data has migrated to the new system, all daily and future data will automatically be processed into the new online software. An online HRIS system will collect data from all areas of Human Resources like; hire and termination dates, payroll, vacation and sick time, personal exemptions holidays, over time and W-2 and other tax information of each person on the payroll.

Currently, all the above mentioned areas are managed by different personnel or departments under the Human Resources Management umbrella. This will not change for security reasons. Each department or personnel, that currently handle each one of these areas will be the only ones that can access these various areas. In order to do that, each person within the Human Resources department will be given a username and password when accessing the HRIS web site. Each user within the Human Resources Department will only be able to access their particular areas of human resources. For instance, someone who works in payroll will only be able to access the payroll portion of the online system and no other department or area.
