I. Technology has made local and long distance commuting possible in the transportation world with its continued improvement in public, personal, and commercial transportation.

A. In our society technology based transportation is easily accessible and is thought to be dependent upon more so than countries that have less accessibility to them.

1. Technology based transportation has been known to encounter complications such as breaking down, and having a recall on parts that are not up to standard.

2. Technology is constantly changing in order to be more accessible causing a major strain on the commuter’s pocket.

B. Technology based transportation has stimulated our economic development in the United States.

1. Mobility is one of the most important characteristics in our economic activities today.

2. The need for transportation has brought employment to various sectors of our economy.

II. In America technology plays a major role in communication, giving various forms of communication people are afforded many opportunities.

A. Computers and cell phones have become quite popular for communication purposes but have also became a playground for criminal use and health problems despite its good intentions.

1. In today’s society the idea of a computer belonging to the majority of the households in America is not surprising, but the amount of identity theft taking from this useful instrument is.

2. The use of cellular phone is on the rise and cellular phone companies are producing newer expensive versions all the time.

B. Giving modern science and technology in the field of communications has made it possible for people to be reunited, families to stay connected, and goals to be accomplished such as getting a degree.
