Do you know that today’s world is divided into developed and developing countries? From my point of view the developed countries are those that have achieved the process of development and developing countries are those which are in the process of development. It is often seems that developing countries/nations do not have enough money in order to develop themselves so that they ask for international aid. Rich countries deposit their money into World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) and this money is what goes as international aid. Since developed countries are giving aid to developing countries, receiver countries are not getting much benefit from aid rather it is making them poorer and hamper because donor countries are giving aid as a loan and poor countries struggle to repay; donor countries have their own interest and conditions; making the poor countries more dependency and sometimes receiver countries are more misusing the aid involving them into corruption.

Foreign aid has been around since just after the end of the Second World War. Now-a-days it seems aid is not a gift, but a loan and poor countries may struggle to repay. Even poor countries struggle to repay they ask a big amount of money as international aid in order to facilitate the implement of major development projects. The Economist Micheal Kirkham (August 16, 2011) in his article “Charity Begins Abroad: Big Developing Countries are shaking up the World of Aid” states “China has become a far bigger donor. Wen Jiabao, the prime minister, has promised that in 2010-12 China will provide $10 billion in low-interest loans to African countries. The China Africa development fund, which has been capitalized with $1 billion and which is now scheduled to raise its second billion (it will only reach $5 billion at full maturity, at some distant point), is not aid, but investment: equity finance in support of FDI (Foreign direct investment by Chinese firms)” Country like Africa which...
