This week the professor has given an assignment on some high profile court cases held at the United States Supreme Court. This court report case will be on Minnesota v. Ronald Riff. In this court case report, discussion on the various types of written and oral communication has to be captured in this paper. The communication processes for the judge, prosecutor, witness and defense must be presented in order to get the clear analysis of this court case. Effective written communication is a very important tool when articulating key information in written form. Assuming the role of an investigator, key information has to be gathered vividly and annotated in the proper manner to ensure non-verbal communication through written form is fully understood.

This is a police incident report on how a search and arrest on Ronald Riff who was accused of burglary was conducted. This court case was rather difficult and involved many different types of communication. In this particular case, there were forms of oral and written communication that were visible. This paper will highlight the communications used by the judge, defense, prosecutor and witnesses in the case. The guidelines in this court case will also be discussed in some detail. The duties and responsibilities of the judge, prosecutor, defense and witnesses is key in every trial hearing.

The prosecution speaks both orally and in written form. The main goal of the prosecutor is to convey to the jury and judge that the suspected person is without a doubt guilty of their crime.
