Young Black Money

The American media has heavily influenced the general theory of how majority of the young African American population in America obtain their wealth. It also has influenced the American society into believing that the typical young African American is not financially set, and if they are how, or why they are. The American media can be accused of promoting racial stereotypes of the African American race’s economics by: making many believe young African Americans do not know how to make money, that they generally do not have money, or if they do have money how they are believed to obtain it is probably wrong.

The American media has made the American society believe that majority of the young African American population does not know how to make money. It is believed that as a young African American typically they probably cannot talk properly, or conduct themselves correctly in a business setting. The young African American is normally also looked at as not being educated as well as a young white person as well. This leaves them unable to obtain a job much better than fast food, or any other minimum wage paying job. Now that the Hispanic race has come into the country so heavily it makes it that much harder to even work in fast food. It is also thought that most young African Americans do not want to work. This puts them in a bind; how are you expected to have any money if you are thought to not be able to obtain a profitable job?

The media has also made society believe that majority of the older African American community probably does not make enough money to support their children as well as themselves. The middle aged African American is looked at a little differently. Typically, they are believed to probably be able to make a living for themselves, but not enough to support themselves and their children as well.
