Introduction
To be successful in most careers in this economy higher education or experience is needed. In most cases both of these are requirements for companies in order to be considered for an internship or job position. For a student majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS), an internship is needed as a requirement to graduate with a FACS degree. It is imperative for one to complete an internship; not only to graduate but for a personal gain of experiences that can benefit in so many areas of life. An internship is to help one figure a person is likes and don’t like in a job position or company. It is an opportunity to narrow down to what fits best for an individual. Recording the experiences, events, and recommendation of the internship can be a great resource for personal endeavors or for the benefit to give someone else information about the company that one interned.
Section 1: Skills Learned and Practiced
Every opportunity that I have been blessed with I develop skills that was learned and practiced during my internship. The major skills that I have learned would be taken from the duties and responsibilities given to me. I was assigned duties that I was unfamiliar and had no idea how to accomplish. I will describe what skills I acquired each week of the internship. During my first week a new skill that I acquired was time management. The duties that were given to me were very time consuming. I have understood that success can be achieved by managing my time in the appropriate time. After that first week I have done well with my time management skills with the rest of the week interned at Northrop Grumman. I had to manage my time wisely to get my duties turned in on time.
