Q#1 How to Warm-up:  Write the directions for how to tie a shoe.  For the sake of this exercise, pretend that your reading audience is adults who have never tied a shoe.

First things first you want to select the right pair of shoes for the right occasion for example if you are putting shoes on for work you want a pair of work shoes. If you are going to an important date, you are going to want a pair of dressy shoes; if you are going for a run, you are going to want/need a pair of running shoes. You do not want a good pair of shoes being ruined on the wrong occasion.

Now that you have the proper shoes selected let’s put on the correct socks to go with you either want a pair of dress socks to go with your dress shoes or a pair of cotton socks to go with just about everything else. Okay you have the correct socks and the correct shoes for the occasion let’s put them on. Make sure that the left foot is in the left shoe or the shoes will not fit right they will feel funny and your feet will not feel right which could lead to other problems.

Okay now that you have the correct shoes and socks on the correct feet, you should have these strings sticking out of the shoe just kind of hanging around. One string on each side of the shoe on the same foot; pull one set of strings you can start with either the left or the right foot. Pull the set of strings you choose until the shoe feels snug (tight) against your foot. Next comes tying the strings after you have pulled the strings but not too tight you want to cross the laces one over the other and then under and pull until the strings are flush with the shoe. Now you want to take one side and make a loop with the other string you want to tie the loop and pull with this action you should have 1) a tied shoe and 2) two loops flush against the shoe. Now you want to repeat the whole process for the other shoe.
