Course Description
This course addresses the application of behavioral science theories and research to understanding behavior of persons in the workplace, with emphasis on factors that impact workers’ morale, group dynamics, and worker efficiency.
Prerequisite: 41-105: Management Processes and Junior Standing.
Course Objectives
The objectives of this course are:
1. Help you to analyze and explain human behavior in modern organizations.
2. Help you to develop interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in teams.
3. Help you to develop leadership skills and the ability to work with people from various
backgrounds in a global and ever-changing environment.
4. Help you assess the impact of information technology on work behavior.
Skill Competencies
After taking this course, students should develop the following competencies:
1. Effectively analyze and offer solutions to human problems in organizations.
2. Demonstrate the ability to be a successful team player.
3. Successfully recognize and manage their own and others’ emotions.
