Distribution Channel – Pustak Mahal Pustak Mahal has around 6-7 regular printers whom orders for printing of new and old titles. On an average at least 1 order is given every day. These include the new titles as well as reprints fo the older editions. From the printers the books are stored in the godowns in Delhi where there are two company owned showrooms. The head office is situated in Delhi. From these head office the books

are transported to the wholesalers in and around Delhi. These wholesalers in turn sell the books to the smaller retailers. The Delhi office also send the book to the various regional offices in total there are other

regional offices in Bengaluru, Patna , Mumbai, Allahabad, Hyderabad, Chennai. There are salesforce in these offices to look after the respective regions. The sales executive is responsible for scouting the region and collection on orders from wholesalers and retailers around the region. The books are sent through road transport as transportation through rail is not safe and there have been past instances of thieving. The Allahabad office is also responsible of selling to the stores on railway station across the country and once the order is given there they are then shipped to the regional offices to be distributed to the railway station in their area.
