This paper discuss about strategic recruitment and selection in human resource management (HRM) by critically evaluate the role of recruitment and selection in theory and discussing how Tiepthigiadinh Foods – a newly Vietnamese gourmet supermarket chain has applied for its strategic HR in recruitment and selection at the first stage of operation.

This create a new trend of employee turnover rate increasing in this decade which put recruitment and selection become a challenge task for employers that required more time and capital to attraction right employee to get into the organisation. It will be a waste of resources if HR fails in recruitment and selection a wrong employee in a position. According to Nicle Long (2012), “for a small business, the recruitment and selection of the right employee for each position can lead to reduced costs, thus leading to an improved bottom line”
