“Maximising my degree opportunity"

This is MD SAIFUL ISLAM MONDAL from Bangladesh studying in the Bedfordshire University for achieving the degree of PGD in Project Management. Before that I worked in a project related Government Job and my previous academic degree was Masters in Business administration (MBA). My past work experience is related to my academic degree. That is why I was very much eager to admit myself in this course and also in reputed university like Bedfordshire University. Here I will able to develop myself as a competent person with those qualities that will be required to show my efficiency in job field.

As an Assistant Director in Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) under the ministry of Planning, I have a lot of bad experience of successful implementation of project. Sometimes project have been taken without the proper cost benefit analysis and evaluation. So many of the projects cannot achieve their objectives. That motivated me to know more regarding why project fails and how to make the project successful. So far I come to know from my course, my teacher, classmates that university of Bedfordshire is well equipped with offering this degree with high credibility. Staying one month in the university I realized that I will be able to know something from these courses. Here multi dimensional skills are being developed. Different evaluation system of education, not to memorise, also makes me rich. This theoretical knowledge will help me in implementation monitoring, evaluation of project in my own country. A number of techniques have already been discussed about taking right project, cost benefit analysis, system of evaluating result based output of a project. Presentation skills that I am going to learned from here will be essential for me to present effectively in front of the different stakeholders about the pros and cons of that project.
