The Never-ending Dreaded Chore of LIFE

I absolutely hate cleaning, no, no, DESPISE cleaning. Laundry is the absolute worst! The over-whelming feeling of clothes piling up, like rolling hills; a pile here, a pile there, here a pile, there a pile, everywhere a pile, pile! I used to do laundry as a job and let me tell you, it was DISGUSTING. I used to wonder how people had so many clothes and could go so long without washing them. Just so many clothes! There was, literally pounds upon pounds of never-ending laundry, I couldn’t even fathom waiting that long to wash my own clothes. Now, these lovely surprises consisted of just about everything. You would find a wide range of lighters, sizes, colors, glass crack pipes, marijuana, spiders, (yes I said spiders) etc. One time I even found the top of something similar to a tuna can in some guys clothes; all jagged like the teeth of a crocodile waiting for you to disturb it and snag you right on the finger! This job was beginning to become hazardous to say the least. I also found the orange cap from a needle in someone’s laundry! This could have been from someone legitimately ill with diabetes or something or it very well could have been someone’s escape to “ecstasy”. Either way, it is an extreme health risk if one of us had accidentally gotten stuck had the needle and not just the cap been the wonderful surprise hidden. I would gag from the putrid smell of some people’s laundry. It is a smell in a category all of its own, a mixture of sewer and a garbage dumpster for example. When people’s laundry was that bad I wouldn’t even bother sorting them by colors; I would wheel them over to the washers across the laundry mat, over each tile, thud- dum thud- dum, in the rickety basket, hold my breath, and just shove them in the washer. After that I would have to take a step away to get some fresh air before releasing my breath because the smell would linger in the air afterwards. This breath was also a sign of extreme relief that...
