National Freight Industries has requested that a new division open up to service an already existing customer. Bimbo Bakeries is one of NFI’s largest customers and has been an active support system in supplying many grocery stores with bakery goods. NFI will need to open up another terminal that will service a new route that Bimbo Bakeries will be starting up. For the project to be successful the activity on node approach (AON) will be used to show the tasks that will be need to be met in order for the project to be successful. NFI will also need to show the relationship between the activities and accurate activity duration. This project will also require office employees, 60 food grade trailers, 60 drivers, computers and office equipment. The facility would also need to facilitate all the needs of this growing partnership with Bimbo Bakeries.

The first diagram is a chart with a breakdown of how long each task must be completed for each phase of the proposal. The first column consists of all the tasks required to complete the phase, the second column represent the duration in days, the third column indicates the beginning day, the fourth indicates the end of each task and the last column identifies the number of tasks before starting the one. In this first phase identifies the planning process of the proposal, which consists of the purchase of the trailers. The purchase of the trailers initially is basically a process located in the administrative offices and tasks identified as; collects proposals, proposal analysis, chosen from the supply, making purchase order, basically the process of acquiring the 60 trailers for the process NFI expansion.

The second phase of the project will identify all the tasks required for the acquisition of the storage area where the trailers going to be located.
