“There was a time in the world of television, a charming advertising was accused with a priori arguments, to adopt an incongruous against children attitude”. It is in this way that could start the fairy tale about the history of advertising to children.

Advertising is developed around products and services, but also a target audience. What about the young people who have the particularity of not having direct purchasing power? This consumer behaviour that requires the intervention of an intermediary (i.e. parents) involves another design of the advertising message. Indeed, it may not be limited to its commercial logic. The discussion then covered by the "moral" or even "ethics." These two words derived from Latin and Greek ethos mos, means "philosophical reflection which aims to define principles for the conduct of life ”. In other words, it is a reflection of the merits of rules accepted by a group at a given time examination.

I have chosen as an object of study, the field of communication, especially that of television advertising to children.

Some parents faced with purchase requests expressed by their children fear that they are defenceless against advertising techniques.

Hence the debate that apparently seems to exist between specialists of communications analyses, and the feeling of a large part of public opinion: should ban television advertising to children?

Advertising standardizes customer needs by offering the same product to a wide audience. The manufacturer shall ensure that consumers want it produces. Desires are consistent with the production and not the reverse. Advertising so mesmerized consumers. Thus it could be seen as an attack toward naive person who looks at his TV. That is why it is subject to virulent debates, highlighting the ethical and moral issues.
