Gun Control in United States:

Laws under the Obama Administration.

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, signed in December 1791, is a user manual for the weapon owner’s in USA. The government explicitly outlines the rules to, and actively consents to, civilian ownership of Weapons, that can be used for self defense in case of threat to self, protecting a person’s right to buy, and keep weapons at a place of residence. This famed gun control constitution, however, has spread like cancer through out the United States, and now proves to be nothing short of an incurable disease for the Obama administration. Gun ownership in Youth, and adults, who aren’t aware of the legislations that govern it, is the cause of approximately 100,000 deaths annually. The assassination of seven US Presidents and 219 years of existence of the Second Amendment, and gun control now seems to be an issue that requires immediate action.

Although the issue has not yet been boldly confronted by the Obama Administration, there are a few policies and outlines that have been introduced as guidelines to the future of this concern.

Putting an end to Youth Violence:

The introduction and successful first run of the Chicago CeaseFire program, is an optimistic attempt and minimizing Youth violence and illegal gun ownership by people under the age of 21. This community based program depends on outreach workers, motivational figures and leaders to intervene and guide the involved parties to mediate and find alternate methods to violence.

The repeal of Tiahrt Amendment and Permanency of the Federal Assault Weapon Ban:

The Tiahrt Amendment, named after Todd Tiahrt, a former US representative, restricts Law enforcement agencies from accessing and searching the databases of ATF, to trace data...
