Abstract

The Business world today has evolved to become more global than it has ever been before. The world has experienced business growth in global markets that have reached different continents, countries, and cultures. Technology, communication and advanced transport has increased efficiency and opened the doors for companies to expand into foreign lands to conduct business. Globalization is an important topic in business because it affects everyone across the globe. In this report Globalization will be explained but also the effects of it will be outlined throughout. The positive and negative effects of globalization, and what effect it has on developed nations and developing nations. Everyday people see globalization and may not recognize it immediately, even though it is taken place. Primarily globalization can be viewed as a positive in relation to growth and GDP (Gross domestic Product), but there are negatives as well in the opinions of others in the business world. In this report businesses that are using globalization will be discussed as they use the global market to create leverage over their competition.

Global Communication

Globalization is meant in a sense to make the world a smaller place by making items, goods, or commodities more accessible to the rest of the world. Items that once where only available to the Western world are now available to other parts of the world. With a cellular phone and internet connection a person can conduct business and stay in touch with others all the way across the world. Globalization has proved to be a constant continuing process of cultures and societies conducting business and stimulating local economies. Countries willingness to trade with each other is more examples of globalization. Politics play a major factor into the role that globalization will play in the world.
