Lack of personal business opinions of employees or business meetings

Small manufacturing businesses are critical to most national economies (Raymond, 1982; Smallbone, 1996). Not only do they directly provide a major component of manufactured output, they are the essential seeds from which larger businesses grow. In the UK, their importance has long been recognized by government, which continues to provide support and encouragement through a range of initiatives (Smallbone, 1996). The academic research community, however, has given rather less attention to the problems of the small business than to its larger counterparts.

Small businesses’ but their problems are not always accorded the same importance as those of larger organizations. Research shows that many small businesses fail from lack of management ability. It has been argued that small businesses can improve their performance and increase their competitiveness with better information and decision support systems (DSS). It is very important for any small business to create a good impression. Whether it’s a potential employee or a big-money client, appearances and perceptions are everything in business. Professionalism is everything in ensuring the success of any new business that’s going to market. A business meeting is therefore much more beneficial to improve productivity.

If you start a growth phase in your business it is usually because you've done something right. A new product or service has been launched, marketing has been effective, the sales are coming in and you're delivering efficiently. This cycle will continue for a while, but as you take on more customers to feed the growth, you will at some point reach the limit of your business capacity. You might run out of human power (over-working leads to mistakes), business resources or the ability to manage operational issues effectively.
