The Great Italian Food Company

The Great Italian Food Company’s future is bright. A rich history of being a family owned business gives this company great respect in its current market. The decision being made is reliant upon the board of The Great Italian Food Company, of which each have a different stance. It is suggested that the board take a look at the possibilities for the restaurant’s future; which could mean expanding locally, cross country, into supermarkets, or branch out into different food cultures.

To begin this process they should first look at the definition of the business, products, services, and target audience to identify strengths and weaknesses. It is also very important that the vision of the company is agreed upon and that it clearly demonstrates what they want The Great Italian Food Company to look like in the next five to ten years. Is the next chapter an upscale restaurant as opposed to the more traditional family setting it is today? This is a question that needs to be addressed.

Expanding the restaurant is the next step in this journey for the Great Italian Food Company; however, in order to expand they would need to work on increasing capital to assist in financing of any further possibilities. Once, the financing has been aligned it will then be appropriate to make a decision for the next strategic business step. Creating a vision for the company can provide the company with a goal. By having a goal it is easier to eliminate any ideas that do not support the future outlook.

Next and most importantly, take a look at the competitors in the Italian restaurant arena. When doing this it will be important to research the possible location and market places that could be involved and integrated into the future of the company.
