Introduction

Corps (CIC, for its acronym in Spanish) is the division responsible for investigations of deaths, sexual abuse and stolen vehicles as well as the clarification of criminal investigation cases.

In order to get a better understanding of the work and duties performed by these public servants, I read some information and I understood the importance and processes to carry out a good research before taking a case to court of law, among other experiences of his work.

The most complex investigations and delicate branch within the Police department are deaths and homicides, this is due to several factors. Many times, is very difficult to perform and interview or communicate with the family of the victims to get more information in order to complete part of the investigation, as these often did not want to talk about the case by personal reasons. The key to perform a good investigation is to have affordable technology resources as well as laboratories with necessary tools to get accurate conclusions, discard theories, corroborate evidence, and find pieces of evidence and witnesses, persons of interest or possible suspects. In these cases we use mathematical elements to corroborate such information when it comes to a murder we have to calculate the distance of the victim and that the gun angle was used.
